New version Performance Monitor (Release 2022.2)

On July 10, 2022, we published a new version of Performance Monitor for Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL and SAP Hana databases. The most important features added in the application are Session Trace Profiler, adding support for Google Cloud and AWS Cloud platforms and a number of other improvements.

Session Trace Profiler – Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL
In the latest version of the application, we have added the functionality of session monitoring using Trace Profiler. The functionality enables the monitoring of sessions on a database. Trace profiler allows you to track the query performed in the database based on previously set parameters. Monitoring is switched on manually after setting the appropriate monitoring parameters. Monitoring data is available online and in the form of a summary generated after the end of the monitoring period.

Support for Google Cloud and AWS Cloud platforms
In the latest version of the application, we have added the ability to monitor databases located on cloud platforms. The functional scope of monitoring in the Performance Monitor application of cloud databases does not differ from where the database is located on on-premise servers.

Bug fixes and improvements – Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL
In the last version of the application, we introduced a number of fixes and improvements. The improvement applies especially to the Query Advisor module, i.e. the module prompting performance changes for queries in the monitored database. We have added support for further REST API methods (retrieving information about IO Stats and retrieving performance statistics). We have added a number of fixes to the Anomaly Monitor module related to, inter alia, generating a report containing major performance issues.

Access to software updates
The DBPLUS software is updated at least 4 times a year. Customers have access to all updates when they have a license or maintenance service. With the upgrade to the latest version, the application will run faster and smoother. Each published version provides new functionalities that allow for easier management and performance improvement in the monitored database.
